Christmas Tree Skirt

fabric yarn christmas tree skirt

Hello there!

Here I come again with another Christmas project :) If you follow Ganxxet's Instagram IG (@ganxxet) you already know that I'm one of that persons who really LOVE Christmas and I really enjoy making projects for this beautiful season!

This year we have a bigger tree with all the ornaments in golden/ brown so I though that a new skirt for the Christmas tree will be a really nice project, and I'm totally in love with the result! It has little waves and it looks gorgeous in our tree.

My tree skirt it's not very "Chrismasy" in the colors, even the white has golden threads. You can change the colors to red-green-white if you prefer a classical result.

You can see here that the main difference with a rug is that it's open. I also have included three big buttons because this way you can close it once in the tree.

MATERIAL:

- GANXXET OAKLAND PRINT: 5 skeins

- GANXXET SALT LAKE CITY: 2 skeins

- GANXXET BELGRADE: 3 skeins

- GANXXET Crochet Hook: N12

- DIFFICULTY: 2/4

-TIME: 6 HOURS

STEP BY STEP:

This pattern is not mine, I was looking for patterns of tree skirts in Ravelry and I found this one that is perfect for fabric yarn too. If you want to make one as big as mine you just need to do 15 rows and you can work quicker than with regular yarn! These are the advantages of the fabric yarn :)

If you don't have a Ravelry account yet I really recommend that you make one! It's a community for knitters and crocheters, full of beautiful patterns (and some free!) and new friend with your same passion. You can find me there also with the name "Ganxxetyarn".

You can find this pattern here and you can also download it if it's easier for you to follow from the paper.

Here you have the final result with all the decorations and presents!

I hope you like it and just leave a comment if you have any doubt!

Happy crochet!
