Ganxxet's 3mm 3 Ply Cotton Macrame Rope is made from recycled cotton garment waste and spun into a round, structured rope that's soft yet strong. We never dye the fiber: each color comes from sorting recycled fabrics by shade. Certified to OEKO-TEX Standard 100 and the Global Recycled Standard (GRS).

It stays twisted as you work and holds knots really well, so your knots come out crisp and even. It's sturdy enough for projects that need strength, like plant hangers, market bags and handbags, and it holds up to daily use. It's also lovely for wall hangings, baskets and coasters, and easy to work with, even for beginners. Untwist the ends and brush them out for a soft, wavy fringe.

It's a little firmer than most macrame cords, which makes it ideal for structured pieces. It also runs on the fuller side of 3mm, so for very fine work like jewelry, try our 2mm 3 Ply Cotton Rope. Because it's made from recycled fiber, you may notice a few small imperfections, but they usually don't affect the finished piece. Tip: tape the ends while you work to keep them from unraveling.
