Mother Earth, our only home and the one we should prioritize on a daily basis with our thoughts and actions. Here at GANXXET we are continuously thinking about the wellbeing of our planet and for this year's Earth Day we wanted to show you a great way to up cycle our macrame cotton cord tubes and simultaneously give back to her.
This is THE PERFECT home project that can be done anywhere in the house, doesn't matter if you live in either a house or an apartment. Also, it's a fun activity to do with your kids, and teach them the importance giving back to our planet and also teach your little ones about the basis of our survival: growing your own food.
Go gather as much of your macrame cord tubes as possible, get your favorite seeds on the mail OR from your actual food and start planting your own little garden!
Materials that you need: Carton tube, Seeds, Dirt, Shovel and paper for bottom backing of tube.
Emma and Federico not only enjoyed a quick outdoor DIY but also learned about the different types of seeds they were planting and what they are for.
These were Basil, Cilantro, Thyme and Parsley for our herb garden. They will be delicious in salads and condiments during the summer months.
Fill the tubes all the way to the top and plant a few seeds about 2 inch below. Just add some water (not a lot) and wait patiently for your herb garden to grow.
Cheers and until next time!
With love,
Emma, Federico and Nuria
